LIMA, Ohio -- Devyne Eisenhauer totaled 20 kills and reached the 1,000-career-kill plateau as the Siena Heights women's volleyball team secured its first WHAC victory of the season -- a 3-1 decision at Northwestern Ohio on Wednesday. Set scores were 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21.
Eisenhauer began the night with 990 career kills and now has 1,010, becoming only the first Saint women to clear 1,000 kills. She also had 13 digs and five total blocks for the Saints (5-6, 1-2).
Kate Noe added eight kills, Kadie Morse put down seven kills and Sarai Villegas scored six kills. Morse also had five total blocks.
Mallory Johnson and Courtney Johnson made 19 assists each. Mallory Johnson also had 12 digs and Courtney Johnson smashed three aces.
On the back-line, Ella Swoish had 17 digs. Mya Krohn made 13 digs. Swoish hammered four aces.
UNOH took a 1-0 match lead in the first, breaking a 14-14 tie with six straight points. The Racers (4-9, 1-3) held through the rest of the set.
At 11-11 in the second, SHU went on a 4-0 run and took the lead the rest of the way to tie the match at 1-1.
The Saints opened the third with a 6-1 run and led through the set.
The fourth set featured 12 ties -- the final one coming at 21-21. The Saints had trailed UNOH 21-19 before running past the Racers with the final six points.
SHU will return to competition on Friday with a 7 p.m. WHAC match at Michigan-Dearborn.
