The Siena Heights softball team dropped a 13-5 decision in six innings to Concordia in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament action on Thursday at Pacesetter Park. With the loss, SHU was eliminated.

Softball Splits on Day One of WHACs; Keller Delivers Walk-Off Single in Win over Aquinas
The Siena Heights softball team won its first game at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament before falling in its second contest at Pacesetter Park on Wednesday. The fourth-seeded Saints defeated five-seed Aquinas, 3-2, on a game-ending RBI single by Kenya Keller; SHU then fell to 22nd-ranked Davenport, 5-3, and fell to the losers' bracket.

Softball Ends Regular Season with Losses to #9 Saint Xavier
Liz Polmanteer batted 2-for-3 with an RBI in game one for the Saints. Katie O'Hotzke was the losing pitcher, allowing six runs (five earned) on 11 hits while recording three strikeouts and one walk.

Softball Sweeps CUAA, Secures Winning Conference Mark; Keller Ties Triples Record
Kenya Keller tied the Siena Heights softball team's single-season record for triples as the Saints claimed a pair of victories -- 19-3 and 4-1 -- over Concordia on Thursday. The wins also secured SHU's first winning record in WHAC play in over a decade.

Saints' Softball Opens Season With Rain-Shortened Loss in Tucson
The Siena Heights softball team opened its season with a rain-shortened 9-5 loss to Biola (Calif.) in a game that was delayed once by rain and then ended after six innings at the Tucson Invitational Games on Saturday. SHU was scheduled to play Arizona Christian, but that contest was postponed.

SHU Softball Ready for the Next Step
Coming into 2014, the Siena Heights softball team is working hard to take the next step from being competitive to coming away with wins regularly in tightly-contested games against quality opposition. The Saints will play nine games against NAIA Tournament teams, facing three squads that received votes in the NAIA Top 25, including a regular season-ending doubleheader against the No. 5-ranked team in the NAIA.
